Frequently Asked Questions

1. How much does an estate sale cost?

Our fees are commission-based, typically ranging from 30% to 40% of the total sales. We’ll discuss exact pricing during your free consultation, and there are no upfront costs for most clients.

2. What happens to the items that don’t sell?

You decide! Unsold items can be donated, kept, or we can coordinate a clean-out service for an additional fee. We’ll go over all your options before the sale.

3. How long does the estate sale process take?

Most sales take about 1–2 weeks from setup to clean-up. The actual sale usually lasts 1–3 days, depending on the size of the estate.

4. Do I need to be present during the sale?

Nope! In fact, we recommend giving us full access so you can avoid the emotional stress. We handle everything—from setup to final sale—with care and professionalism.

5. Do you only help with estate sales, or can you help me sell the home too?

We do both! As a licensed Georgia Realtor, I can also help you sell the property once the estate sale is complete. It's all part of the seamless support we offer during big life transitions.

6. What types of items can be sold at an estate sale?

Almost anything! Furniture, home décor, antiques, kitchenware, tools, clothing, collectibles—you name it. We’ll help assess what’s worth including during the consultation.

7. What if I’m not in town during the sale?

No problem at all. Many of our clients manage the process remotely. We’ll keep you informed every step of the way and can handle everything on your behalf.

8. Do I need insurance on the home during the estate sale?

Yes. The home must have active homeowner’s and liability insurance in place before the estate sale begins. This protects both you and our team in case of any accidents or unforeseen issues during the sale. We’re happy to confirm coverage details with you during your consultation.

9. I don’t have any plans to sell, can you still help me with an estate sale?

Of course, there is zero pressure. We want to meet you where you’re at and help with your current need. Listing the home for sale is not a requirement for us to handle the estate sale.
